Country music fans love nothing better than getting up close with their favorite artists and what better time to see your faves live than Summer?
What's not to love about the fresh outdoors, navigating though hundreds of sweaty bodies and buying cheap trinkets from greedy, over priced vendors?”
Florida country fans are no exception to that mess because apparently they loved it so much they are begging for another one!
The Florida Country Superfest was held June 13 and 14th in Jacksonville, at EverBank Field, with 10 different acts performing for the 2-day event. With names like Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Brantley Gilbert; it was destined from that start to host a huge crowd.
Over 75,000 fans were at the first Superfest in 2014, coming from all 50 states. It was well-received, despite the rain and the heat. More were expected for the 2015 Superfest and with who they had on the roster, it didn't disappoint.
What accounts for this massive attendance? The crowds are seeing more young people, as the younger set is starting to catch on to the appeal of country music. They're not the only ones – artists like Carrie Underwood and Scotty McCreery have proven this new generation of artists is around to stay.
How did the rise in the number of fans and the popularity of country music come about? Find out on the next page what the winning formula is….
