It is a well-documented fact that Toby Keith supports the US Troops.  What started as a tribute to his late father, who served in the Army, his passion has grown to several trips to the Middle East to entertain and uplift service men and women.

Two of the songs he sings, “American Soldier” and “Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue” were written specifically to pay tribute to the troops.

He has donated part of the sales of his Wild Shot Mescal to the VFW for programs. He co-founded “Pros 4 Vets,” a non-profit organization to aid service men and women address medical and legal concerns when they return home from war.  He regularly takes to Twitter to remind his fans that it's important to remember these men and women who serve in the military.

But recently, even he was floored when he paid homage to one particular service member.
