Country girls have been shaking for Luke Bryan for a long time now, it was finally time for him to return the favor. Headlining the Mardi Gras parade and leading it down the street last weekend was Luke Bryan and his wife sitting atop the float. He threw out beads and even took a selfie with the crowd. Annie Reuter from radio.com wrote a nice piece about how Luke enjoyed the weekend.
Later that night, after the parade, he and his band played a 90-minute set for 20,000 fans that spanned 17 songs at the Endymion Extravaganza at the Superdome. In addition to playing his radio hits, Bryan covered Alabama’s “Mountain Music,” Collective Soul’s “Shine,” Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark” and Mel McDaniel’s appropriate “Louisiana Saturday Night.”
