We have just been informed that Willie Nelson has a medical issue and will be rescheduling the first half of his tour dates,” states Nick Hooker, senior marketing manager for the Florence Civic Center in Florence, S.C., where Nelson and Haggard were scheduled to kick off their tour on Thursday (Oct. 15). “We know this is last-minute, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but our hearts and best wishes go to Willie Nelson and his family during this time of health concern.”
Nelson’s rep has confirmed the news to The Boot, noting that in addition to the Florence show, Nelson and Haggard’s concerts in Roanoke, Va., on Oct. 16 at Berglund Center Coliseum, and in Reading, Pa., on Oct. 17 at Santander Arena, will be affected. She confirmed that the rest of their tour is on schedule, and had no additional details as to Nelson’s health issue.
