One of the biggest risks an artist can undertake is trying to make their mark in country music. Brett Eldredge knows this all too well.
A few years ago, I remember reading a story in Brett Eldredge‘s hometown newspaper — the Paris Beacon-News in Illinois — about how he spent time preparing for the music business. And what I remember most is his recollection of the talent shows.
“I remember my mom and dad driving me all over the place to different talent shows,” he said. “Lugging around different equipment in the back of our van. My mom would run sound while I would walk around with the microphone and sing to people. I would definitely not be here without my family.”
That kind of gratitude for his family is probably what led him to give an up-and-coming artist their shot.
