Soon-to-be country superstar, Craig Strickland, has friends, family and fans worried about him as the search continues for his body — dead or alive. Based on footprints found in the mud nearby, authorities suspect he is doing well. But, they are worried his health may be at risk, as the weather has been reaching freezing temperatures and he still has not been found.
Craig Strickland, lead singer and acoustic guitarist for country band Backroad Anthem, is still missing after a hunting trip that claimed the life of his friend Chase Morland. The men traveled to Oklahoma to go duck hunting Saturday and were declared missing after they failed to have contact with family for more than 24 hours.
Wife, Helen Strickland, updated fans on Twitter:
Craig's dog Sam has been found. His boat has been confirmed as being capsized. They are still searching for Craig. Please keep praying.
A friend of Stickland's father left him with these words, as a search was called off for the night:
We are trying to think of a scenario where he is still alive. Hoping against the odds. We can't even stand to think about it. We are devastated. Only God & time can put us back together. Love all!”
