While Strickland's wife Helen thanked the public for their support, one of his bandmates commented on their hope for the best. It was the dog's survival that kept them going.

Craig's Backroad Anthem bandmate, Toby Freeman, told another publication that Craig's dog had been found safe and sound.

“Craig's dog being found alive is a very good sign,” said Freeman. “That's a piece of hope that we're actually clinging on to.”

Craig disappeared after he and Morland went duck hunting on Kaw Lake in north central Oklahoma.

Craig's wife Helen thanked people for their prayers on Twitter: “We are overwhelmed with the love and prayers we have received.”

This is certainly a devastating time for the Strickland family, as well as for Craig's friends and fellow musicians. We know everyone in the country music community is sending them their best, however, and helping get through this tragedy however they can.
