Confident. Humble. Rarely are those two words used together, but they aptly apply to Drake White. Talent will only take you so far – what you do with that talent is up to you as an artist.
Drake White is likely the envy of plenty of up-and-coming artists, and with good reason: The Alabama native scored the opening slot on Little Big Town‘s fall run of Pain Killer Tour dates.
“I just kind of closed my eyes and said, ‘Thank you,’” White tells The Boot of his reaction. “I had gratitude. I’m so grateful for that, to get to go out there and learn from such great individuals.”
Obviously, LBT saw something they wanted in White. It is the same “something” fans love about him, and the same “something” he and his band take on the road with them.
Although LBT have been forced to cancel a few of their tour’s summer dates due to member Jimi Westbrook’s vocal cord surgery, White’s run with the band is unaffected and he’s looking forward to getting out on the road with the country quartet.
The tour doesn't get underway until October, 2015, but White is ready to get out on the road with LBT.
