
Apparently his album is going to be all about the influences of Country Music and how they have inspired him. It seems like it will be more of a reflection than a full-blown different album.

The drummer/singer/songwriter will release Cass County on September 25; it’s his fifth solo album, and his first in 15 years. It sees him collaborating with some iconic country artists spanning a few generations: Merle Haggard, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert and Dolly Parton. Another guest on the album is a fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who has also drawn heavily from country influences: Mick Jagger. The album was co-produced by Henley with his frequent collaborator (and former member of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) Stan Lynch.
