There where so many different speculations about their son that Tracy Nunan, Eddie's Ex-Wife couldn't take it any more.
Just days after the tragic death of her son, Eddie Montgomery‘s ex-wife is speaking out about his cause of death in the hope of helping another family who might be struggling with the same issues.
Hunter’s passing was initially attributed to an unspecified accident, but his mother — Montgomery’s ex-wife, Tracy Nunan — revealed on Wednesday night (Sept. 30) that the young man’s cause of death was an overdose. She lashed out at the media via her Facebook page, saying she was coming forward to end speculation, and in the hope that her son’s story might help someone else:
“When a family asks for privacy, there is a reason.
Grieving the loss of a child is the most heart-wrenching experience any parent can imagine.
It defies description.
Since the media refuses to respect our request for privacy, I’m taking another route in hope that we might get some peace for our grieving, and more important, in hope that Hunter’s story might help others.
Our son died of an overdose.
We believe it was accidental and will continue to believe that.
We know that he needed help.
Maybe Hunter’s – and our family’s – pain will help another family avoid this.
Not a day will go by without our missing him.
Now that your curiosity is satisfied, please have the respect to stop hounding us.
Instead, take our story and use it to help others.”
Montgomery’s death is made all the more tragic by the fact that he welcomed a son, Bennett, earlier this year.
This Is Horrible, Horrible News…
A parent should never have to bury their children. Our prayer's, thoughts and respect is with them during this tragic time.

God bless these parents! I think the media is disgusting for digging into things that are none of their business. These parents have to deal with a dreadful situation and the media is doing its best to interfere with their private lives. Why ! Why do they need to publish extremely personal information of someone who is/was not a public figure. Over informed demeans the situation,
Prayers for you all so sorry
Amen

So sorry for the loss and praying for you and family.
…and yet the media, all media is still posting about this family. Leave them alone, it’s not that hard to do if you have a heart.
Prayers for the strength to give your hearts to grieve the loss of your son. Far too many young children, adults and even older adults are suffering fro. Addiction to drugs, alcohol or other mental issues. Families suffer and hearts grieve. I pray that you will be able to remember the love you had for your son and the love for you before his passing. Hopefully, other parents will become more aware of the drug addiction insanity that years families apart. Prayers that your son is lifted up and free of the demons that possessed his body and prayers that both of you as parents can find peace to deal with your sorrow. Sincere thoughts.
So sorry for your loss…God Bless

Prayers for the family. It is the hardest thing to loose a child no matter how old or how they die. I don’t think it is anybody’s business why or how he died he was old enough to make his own mind up. In this time drugs is every where all you can do is pray
