  • Elvis Presley Sings, ‘Unchained Melody’ At The Last Recorded Concert Ever – Watch!

Geezz you have got to see the crowd that Elvis had following him back in the day… there must have been over 50,000 people.

Though Elvis Presley performed several times after, his final recorded performance was in June 1977, about six weeks before the King passed away on August 16, 1977. He performed “Unchained Melody,” among other hits, for his Elvis In Concert special that premiered October of that same year on CBS.

One of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, “Unchained Melody” was written by Hy Zaret and composed by Alex North. It was written in 1936 and originally meant for the legendary Bing Crosby, but he turned it down and it wasn't recorded for another twenty years.

Elvis' version of the famous song was absolutely fantastic. Although it's apparent in this video that he's ill, it doesn't stop Elvis from performing his heart out, showcasing his wide range of talents that had won over millions for decades. It's a must-see, rare performance.

What I wouldn't give to see Elvis live in concert – man he is the King for a reason!

Although he was more blues/jazz Elvis was a chameleon and did sing a lot of different songs; including country.
