Here Is Some More Information About It…
Elvis Presley always wished that he could perform with an orchestra. Although the King is no longer with us, his dream is finally coming true on his upcoming posthumous album If I Can Dream.
The album features remastered tracks of Elvis's original vocals along with new instrumentals conducted by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
One of the songs featured on the album, which will be released October 30, is the Elvis classic “An American Trilogy.”
Elvis's ex-wife Priscilla Presley recently talked to Rolling Stone about how she was the one to introduce “An American Trilogy” to him:
Priscilla said that this new album is everything that Elvis had always wanted:
“The label would have never allowed him to have an orchestra. And if it was up to [manager] Colonel Parker, he would have had Elvis just singing—no background, no nothing. I think we have given him the freedom here to experiment with all the orchestras he would have loved in the pieces.”
