The monument not only honors Hill, it also tells her story. As the plaque notes, Hill was a star even as a youngster. We couldn't be more proud of her for getting this.
“Faith Hill demonstrated a zest for music and performing that took her to Nashville while still a teenager, and to stardom from the release of her first record in 1993. She became a dominant, glamorous face of country music, a major star in the broader pop music market, with tens of millions in record sales, and multiple awards, and an effective advocate for the culture and people of Mississippi on the national stage.”
We're thrilled to see Hill get such an honor, especially one that places her alongside country music icons like Conway Twitty. We're sure this will be just one of many more honors to come for Hill, who is clearly on her way to becoming a country music legend!
