Cam's release of the sophomore album, “Untamed,” has far from experienced the industry curse, as joked about for years amongst artists, who were unable to match previous successes like their first. In fact, Cam began working on “Untamed” just as her first album was being released. She brought friends, Jeff Bhasker and Tyler Johnson along for the ride, co-producing an Electronic-infused Country Pop album for release to the masses.
“I really admire Eric Church and what he and [producer] Jay Joyce do, and Tyler and I and Jeff listened a lot to what they’d done. I still have Chief in my car,” Cam admits to Rolling Stone Country. “I think he’s super inspiring in that he makes music he wants to make.”
What makes it even better is that this artist's true nature and spirit shines through such success with an album gaining such momentum amongst audiences everywhere.
“I got to make this whole album with my friends, who started out with nothing to their name either.”
This type of attitude is the winning spirit we all need to continue rooting for. Her album may be “Untamed,” but Cam is showing nothing less than class! How do you feel about her statements? Leave a comment below.
