The country trio takes the stage with a haunting rendition of “Mary Did You Know” during the 2011 CMA Country Christmas Special.  With just microphones and a simple piano melody, Rascal Flatts open the song with a powerful note by Jay DeMarcus followed by Joe Don Rooney delivering an amazing second verse. Gary LeVox bursts in with the third verse and huge vocals coming from all three. The peformance is a striking example of exactly why these three have achieved so much success, fanfare, and acclaim throughout their nearly twenty-year career.

This performance may be a few years old, but it's still as moving as it was then. This Christmas favorite, originally released in 1991 by Michael English, has been covered by big-name country stars like Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd.
