    During the 1960's, Glen Campbell's country music career reached new heights as his singles continually soared to the top of the Billboard charts. Among his many fans, one unknown to him would change his career forever.

    In this unique interview during a tribute festival for John Wayne, Campbell opens up about the first time he met John.

    Campbell gushes about how much of a fan he was of John's. Right after they met, John says to him, “You wanna do a movie?”. And just like that, they both jumped into the 1969 blockbuster True Grit. John would go on to win an Academy Award and Campbell would sing the hit theme song for the film.

    These two obviously had an incredible friendship and it shines in Campbell's candid memories of the western superstar.
