Thanks to his first concert tour in 13 years, Garth Brooks earned a Number Six berth on the survey, making him country music's top earner. Grossing over $1 million at every stop on the trek, Brooks hauled in more than $90 million for the year, and will continue to tour throughout the summer, virtually ensuring the entertainer a spot on next year's list as well. In 1999, the last time he was ranked, Brooks was Number 14 on the list.

Forbes' list tallies money earned from June 2014 through May 2015, with numbers based on data from Nielsen, Pollstar, Box Office Mojo and IMDB. The list was also influenced by the magazine's interviews with many of the celebrities and their agents, managers and lawyers.

Personally, I think that he is over-paid but the man has been around for a long time. I was shocked when I read this list… I thought Willie Nelson would be at the top of the chain but apparently I was wrong.
