Scott's mother Linda Davis performed with Reba McEntire on the hit duet “Does He Love You?” As she told The Tennessean, she and Scott's father have enjoyed performing with their daughters.
“It’s a dream we didn’t even know to dream about that’s fallen into place.”
Ricky Skaggs is producing the album, which was inspired when the family performed together at Jim Ed Brown‘s funeral over the summer.
“He was about family harmonies and his family wanted us to be a part of that,” Davis shares. “Ever since Hillary was a little girl, [family harmony] is all she’s known as well as Rylee Jean, our youngest daughter.”
The album will include gospel standards, as well as new songs the family have written.
“It’s sort of a nice combination of past, current and maybe what will last long after we’re gone,” Davis says, adding, “That’s our hope.”
It looks like the whole family is super talented! No wonder Scott was so drawn to a career in country music. We especially love that the album includes not only gospel standards but also tracks written by the entire family. No word on the when the album will drop, but we can't wait to see what they have in store!
