As website Country Rebel notes, the Feeks have been sharing their story with fans. This exchange between them and the public has been an important part of their journey.
Joey is receiving hospice care in the couple's Indiana home two to three days a week. Rory has been updating fans through a blog, and explained their reasoning for sharing the emotional experience with the world. “Sharing what we’re going through with others is really all we have to give,” Rory wrote. “If you share what you’re going through with me… maybe I’ll be able to draw something good from it if I am one day in your shoes.”
We've been following Joey Feek's story, and we're amazed by how she and Rory have navigated this time with such strength and courage. We have no doubt that sharing their story will help others out there facing a devastating diagnosis such as terminal cancer.
