Yesterday (Sept. 30), Charles Kelley shocked fans by dropping a new song called “Driver,” which features Eric Paslay and Dierks Bentley. While Kelley previously told reporters that he wanted to take a break from Lady A to focus on other music, he never mentioned a solo act.
Yesterday, Kelley revealed he plans on dropping more solo singles including “Lonely Girl” additionally to “Driver.”
“I wouldn’t have done this without [bandmates] Hillary [Scott] and Dave [Haywood] giving me their blessing. “Lady Antebellum will never break up, mark my words,” he added. “But I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone.”
