To call A Thousand Horses strictly a country band would be too limiting for this eclectic foursome. They combine rock, soul, country and blues into their own unique sound, channeling Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Crowes or the Allman Brothers.
Formed in 2010 in Nashville, the band consists of Michael Hobby (lead vocals), Bill Satcher (guitar), Zach Brown (guitar and vocals) and Graham Deloach (bass and vocals). Hobby and Satcher grew up together and started writing songs at the age of 15. In the summer, Satcher's cousin, Deloach, would join in. Zach Brown was introduced by a friend and A Thousand Horses was born.
From a small quartet to the powerhouse band it is today, A Thousand Horses has grown by leaps and bounds. They used to play in dive bars with leaking roofs, have two people watch them at a time and never have the opportunity to preform. Some of the adversity that this band had to go through was down right embarrassing.
However, because of that embarrassment the band made it to where they are today
I am sure they would do it all over again.
