    Merle Haggard, 78-year old Country Music legend and superstar, has been canceling many of his shows lately. No one knew exactly why until now.

    Merle decided it was time to fill in his fans on a condition that he's been battling for some time. During a recent hospitalization, he reached out to long time friend and fellow entertainer, Willie Nelson, calling into Willie’s Roadhouse on Sirius XM.
    Afraid he had come out of recession, his friends, family and a long list of associates talked him into receiving medical treatment for whatever was causing him to fall ill.
