You know the kind of people – the kind on Facebook who exhausts you when you read their daily status? “Ran a 10k today. Feel like a failure. Couldn't go any further”. What?! Are you kidding me? The most ambitious thing I did today was the laundry.
Well, there are a special group of people who make your over-achieving fans look like couch potatoes. The elite of the elite, the best of the best athletes. In order to appear on American Ninja Warrior, contestants have to compete and win their regional qualifier. Seems easy enough, right?
This is not your mama's obstacle course. The stages of the race are enough to stagger the most stalwart athlete, each one with increasing difficulty. In fact, not one competitor has advanced to the fourth and final stage and the $1 million payoff. But a chance at $1 million keeps them coming back.
More than 700 Military personnel, former Olympians, NFL players and other athletes are competing this year to become the next American Ninja Warrior. And some are from Nashville and the surrounding area!
