With all the junk that is on T.V. These days it's about damn time that we got one that was more suitable for everyone to watch instead of showing the unobtainable lifestyle of the rich and famous.
Fox is finally making over The Urban Cowboy and casting some of the hottest actors in town including the very, incredibly sexy John Travolta and Debra Winger.
The filming has already began and is being set in Austin, Texas which means that it's going to be true Country. Originally the pilot was done in Huston, Texas.
The series is supposed to be a remake of the Urban Cowboy… but there is a special twist that is in the works.
Finally Fox is getting things right and making Television more family friendly…. unlike the rest of the useless propaganda they put out.

But Bud saw his evil ways & promised Sissy he’d never hit her again. Move on to their next chpt. Maybe start a family, no more honky tonk (Gilley’s no more literally), or riding the bull. Could be a hit…. I’d watch. .
Thats stupid. Leave it the way it is. Dont make it into a series.

If it’s well written sure, I’ll give it a try. They ought to air it before Nashville, that would make a great two hour block. But the writing has to be there for it to work, and it has to be cast right. I love that movie so much, it just flows along from one excellent scene to another, it will never age, it will never grow tiring. There is not a false moment in that whole film.
People ask me all the time what my favorite movie is of all time, I always tell them that that’s like choosing a favorite grandchild, but then I tell them them that Urban Cowboy is a absolute cl$#%&!@*ic
