When father and daughter Michael and Lauren were asked to name something they'd always wanted to do, they both said they'd like to spend more time together.
So, they started formulating a plan: rehearse a special dance number to perform together, and then surprise Lauren's mother at Lauren's dance recital.
Michael and Lauren, who started dancing when she was 4, worked with a dance teacher for several weeks to perfect the father-daughter dance.
They didn't let Lauren's mom Lynne in on the secret, which is apparent when she looks disappointed when Lauren takes the stage and Michael is nowhere to be seen.
