I do not think we have ever seen him so visibly moved. As soon as the 93-year old Veteran walked on stage… Keith couldn't contain himself.
Keith was performing at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte where he gave his usual patriotic encore, and beforehand he introduced Lt. Colonel Harry Frizzell, Sr. “Listen, 34 years of service — Vietnam, Korea, World War II, and he put four kids through school … I wanted ya’ll to see what a true American hero looks like,” Keith said, raising the arm of the older man, who was rolled onstage in a wheelchair.
Keith dedicated his stirring performance of “An American Soldier” to Frizell, which ended with an electric guitar rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
It was a powerful moment for the crowd, but even more so for Keith, who could be seen onstage with his head bowed, wiping away tears.
After Keith Performed His Hit, ‘An American Soldier' He Told The Roaring Audience, “Never Apologize For Being Patriotic.”
This has got to be Keith's best performance yet – check out the emotional & heart warming tribute!
