Here Is What Happened…

As the band reached the end of their 2001 Top 5 hit “I’m Movin’ On,” and lead singer Gary Levox began some of his signature vocal calisthenics during the last line of the song. All of a sudden, the crowd erupted in an ovation 15 years in the making – a tribute of sorts to the band that fans have followed from their very first days in Nashville.

The members waited awhile for the ovation to subside, but it ended up getting louder and louder, leaving the band members to shake their heads in disbelief. “We have no words that will ever describe what Chicago means to us,” Levox said to the crowd.
