Yoakum will serve as producer for the series, along with Black, 20th Century Fox TV and Electric Dynamite. They're not the only big names behind the venture:

According to Deadline, Belles & Whistles is a “single-camera comedy with music elements.” The series is written and executive produced by Alex McAulay (Eastbound and Down), and follows an unfulfilled father who has been fired from a tech job in Silicon Valley. Now unemployed, he moves his family to Nashville, hoping to pursue his lifelong dream of being a musician.

We'll definitely be watching for the premiere of this series! Yoakum may have made his name as a singer, but he also knows a thing or two about Hollywood. As an actor, he's appeared in hit movies and TV series such as “Under the Dome,” “Panic Room,” and “Wedding Crashers.” Don't worry, though — he's not giving up his day job. In fact, he just announced a new album and tour!
