  • Josh Turner Mourning Loss Of His Fan Club Founder & Former Truck Driver

In mourning of his former truck driver and fan club founder, Josh Turner takes to Twitter in their honor, writing them just one last message and sending it off with a kiss to the heavens.

Libby Jurs, 59, who died after a 6-year battle with Ovarian Cancer and, most recently, Leukemia, founded the official fan club of Josh Turner. She often frequented his shows and dedicated so much of herself for the love of his music. Survived by a husband, children and grandchildren. Josh speaks on her memory and how she will most definitely be missed:

“My heart is heavy as one of my biggest fans, Lbby Jurs, passed away today,” Turner writes on Facebook. “Those that knew her will miss her greatly. She was a loving, giving woman and a loyal fan. I will miss seeing her at my shows.”
Just two days later, on December 14, Josh lost yet another friend, a former truck driver, who also battled cancer.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I say we lost our former truck driver to a long battle with cancer,” he says via Facebook. “May he rest in God’s arms.”

Loss comes with great travesty and sorrow, especially around the holiday season. In the case of Turner's loved ones, Country Sings sends our condolences to the families and friends, who are also in loss at this time. May their suffering be over soon and joy be found in memory and celebration of the lives that have brought so many joy and blessings that will last a lifetime.
