In this rarely-viewed video, a 32-year-old Nelson sings his debut, “Hello Walls”, at Porter Wagoner's request. Nelson's excited, young personality shines and he shows a side you haven't seen before in this vintage taping. Following his recording of “Hello Walls”, he became known throughout Nashville for his extraordinary songwriting skills.
We loved this clip! It's always fun to see stars in their early days before they got famous. We're so used to seeing them as legends, it's hard to imagine they were once youngsters just waiting for their big break. Great to see Nelson as a young musician!
