What would country music be without a little controversy? Incredibly boring comes to mind. In our world today people love to jump on the band wagon and make mountains of or mole hills before they even know what they are talking about. Nobody knows this better then Little Big Town.
There has been quite the rumble made over their new hit “Girl Crush.”
Right off the bat, just based off of the title of the song folks were jumping to the conclusion that this song must be supporting the “Gay Agenda.” It is amazing when you are convinced of one thing how you can take a song so out of context. A local radio station that I frequently listen to was going to ban this song from their playlist. So naturally I got a bit curious and took a listen for myself!
If you listen to the lyrics within the first few lines you will realize it is a song about a girl that is jealous of another girl because of a boy! Lets be honest, what girl is not guilty of this? We have all had a “girl crush” at some point in time. Everyone has had a moment where they have wanted to be another girl so badly, they wanted to be the girl that their heart throb was so madly infatuated with. The only way to settle this is for you to take a listen!
