Shocking news for Scottsdale, Az. The Sidewinder Country Festival that was scheduled for April 25-26 was postponed with not much of an explanation. The only reason they gave was strategic restructuring.
What on earth does that mean?
This festival was to be the first of many for the Scottsdale area. One can only guess at what the reasoning for postponing was, there was no rain date announced. I would fair to guess that possibly they were not prepared for a event of this size and maybe they were lacking funding or permits. That is just my logical explanation, idol minds will come up with their own conclusions.
The festival was going to showcase a impressive line up of artists from the country music industry. Including heavy hitters such as Sara Evans, Vince Gill and Gloriana to mention a few. It was also going to stretch out to some southern rock country artists and local talent. The community was very excited for this festival to be coming to their backyard, Scottsdale is a beautiful city with a lot to offer its tourists. All tickets have been refunded to the disappointed concert goers. With such short notice the saying “all dressed up with no where to be” rings true for many fans.
