While their is no doubt some big differences between country and rock music, a handful of extremely versatile artists have made the jump. To be fair, they have not only made the jump, they've actually been quite successful in doing so!
For years it seems there has been an unspoken rivalry among various genres of music. Outside of the occasional cross over, or collaboration, most artists tend to stick with what they know words. For a country crooner, or hard rocker, they rarely step outside of that proverbial musical comfort zone.
However, the rock artists on this list have not only made the jump, they've actually been quite successful in their country skin. It's really cool to see musicians and thick skinned rock musicians that, show their twang and style in the country arena. Even it you are not fan, you have to respect these performers for breaking away from the status quo. Although, after listening to these tracks I'm sure you are going to be pretty impressed with the end result of these rock to turned country efforts!
