Say what you will about Vans Warped Tour, it is an experience like no other music festival (key word there “experience”). And it is a far less expensive experience at, on average, ticket prices are 50% less than other tours. (Oh, and by the way, parents are allowed in for FREE! – although, my suggestion is avoid the “reverse daycare”.)
It has become the jumping off point for new, previously-unheard of bands. Fans discovered bands like Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory and even Green Day for the 1st time at Warped. What started off as a venue for skate punk and ska bands has morphed into the powerhouse it is today, while staying true to the hardcore, alternative music roots.
H2O is one such hardcore punk band who went from virtual unknowns to a band that commands a huge, loyal following. They performed on 3 round of Warped – 1998, 1999 and 2001.
