  • Big & Rich Takes Credit For The Sucess Of The Carolina Country Music Fest

Even if you're not a Country Music fan, you've heard the song “Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy” by Big & Rich.  If you haven't, you're obviously living under a rock.

John Rich and “Big Kenny” Kenneth Alphin, the duo behind Big & Rich, debuted their first album together, “Horse of a Different Color,” in 2004.  The album produced 4 of the top 40 Country hits and since it's release, their careers have skyrocketed, garnering them CMA, CMT Music Awards and ACM noms.

They've collaborated with the likes of Martina McBride, Cowboy Troy and John Legend. Rich has written songs for Gretchen Wilson, Jason Aldean and Faith Hill. One of their hits, “Comin' To Your City,” has been used for the theme music for ESPN's College Game Day since 2005.

To say that John Rich is talented is a vast understatement.  To say that he sits idle would be false.  He hosted a CMT reality show, Gone Country for its first season in 2007.   In 2008, he served as a judge on Nashville Star and won Celebrity Apprentice in 2011.

Now he is the mastermind behind a country music festival in the “Redneck Riviera” (a phrase he trademarked and adopted as his lifestyle).
