The venue may not have been the Grand Ol Opry, but even as a youngster Shelton was killing it. He may have been just a kid, but as he tells it, he didn't pass up an opportunity to woo the ladies.
Some rare video footage was dug up just for this occasion and shows The Voice coach rocking out to Bob Seger's “Old Time Rock and Roll” during a Valentine's Day pageant in 1985. “It's very true. My mom put me in pageants. I was pickin' up chicks, man!”, Shelton said in the interview.
Well, we'd expect nothing less from Shelton, even as a kid! He's certainly got charisma and knows how to work an audience, and even watching this early footage of him, it's obvious the talented young crooner was destined to be a big star!
