  • Brantley Gilberts Shocking Tattoo! And Other Singers With A Passion For Ink

Not only is this back piece a huge political statement, but it took a long time under the needle. Some back tattoos, depending on the detail, can take 40+ hours. Which means multiple visits to the tattoo parlor! We wonder how long Brantley's took….

If the message wasn’t clear enough already, Brantley Gilbert added the text of the 2nd Amendment at the bottom of the tattoo.

“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

Brantley showed off the tattoo on Instagram Tuesday, writing,

“I wanted to take my support of the 2nd amendment to another level, so my boy Carl Grace came by the house and hooked me up yesterday!!!”

Brantley explained that the tattoo came in two parts. The first was the giant pistols and the second phase was the 2nd Amendment itself.

What do you think of Brantley's tattoo? Would you be willing to undergo the pain and get a big back piece like his? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

This country singer took her ink to a higher level and inked her forearm with a spiritual message. Danielle Bradbery, the youngest member to win the hit TV show The Voice has a strong spiritual connection to her newest tattoo.

Bradbery’s black ink on her forearm isn’t brand new, but it is the first time the singer has put it on full display. The cursive font that takes up a large portion of her arms reads: “God is greater than the highs and lows.”

We're seeing a lot of religious and spiritual tattoos lately. Celebrities aren't the only ones inked up! What are your thoughts on phrase tattoos? What would you want written on your forearm? Catch the rest of this post on Danielle Bradbery at Taste of Country.

Tattoos are such a personal thing. Unless you're willing to go through the painful process of having them removed,  they're marked on your body forever. Country singing sensation Miranda Lambert rallied two girlfriends to get a friendship tattoo here:

Miranda Lambert is sporting new ink! The singer got matching eighth note tattoos with good friends and touring partners Gwen Sebastian and RaeLynn over the weekend, sharing the first picture via Instagram

A friendship tattoo like this might be safer than getting someones name written on your skin! Good friendships are hard to come by and never be taken for granted. It's nice to see a group of girls like this make a public declaration of their trust and love for one another. Get the whole scoop on this tattooed trio at Taste of Country.

You probably know RaeLynn from her hit song ‘God Made Girls'. This 20 year old country singer knew her southern roots mom wasn't going to be pleased with her daughter getting inked up. RaeLynn went for a tasteful cursive text that reads “Daughter of the King”. She chose this so she would have a constant reminder that God was always with her. Despite the biblical reference, her mom still wasn't thrilled with her daughters choice.

“She said, ‘I do not want you to get that tattoo, but I will go with you’,” RaeLynn explains. “And then I got to really thinking about it and I thought my mom and her Southern butt is not going to be able sit there and watch them ink me up and stay calm. She will drag my butt out of there. I just know her.”

We don't know many moms that love the idea of their daughters getting tattoos, but we think this one might grow on RaeLynn's mom. We hope so at least! To read the rest of this story and how RaeLynn ended up getting the tattoo, head over to Taste of Country.

You've probably seen a lot of heart tattoos in your lifetime. Some are symbolic and take the shape of the cutouts you made in Kindergarten, while  others take a more realistic approach with veins, etc. But Stephen Barker Lilies, singer and guitar player for the country duo Love and Theft, took the heart tattoo to a whole new level when he got this inked on his rib cage.

Liles’ tattoo on his right side is actually a recreation of his son [heard] their little one’s beating heart. He captions in the photo, “The first time we heard my sons heartbeat and the life that God gave him became real.”

Such a unique and heartfelt tattoo. We're sure little baby Jett will appreciate this gesture from his dad when he grows up. To hear more about this story, read the full article at Taste of Country.
