I'm sure, by now, you've heard (or read the headlines) about Keith Hill, radio consultant and #SaladGate. But, just in case you haven't, Keith Hill is the douchebag who, during an interview with Country AirCheck stated,
“Trust me, I play great female records and we’ve got some right now; they’re just not the lettuce in our salad.”
It's all there, in their May 26th issue of the weekly newsletter. To say this guy is a misogynist would be an incredible understatement. The worst of it is, he doesn't seem to get why Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride or Jennifer Nettles are angered by his ignorant remarks (and refuses to apologize for his remarks).
In other words, he did not understand the power of social media or the swiftness of his words spreading like the proverbial wildfire.
Ummm Hello – Don't you know Social Media is the way people communicate these days?
Why it takes some people longer than others to realize how powerful Twitter has become is a mystery to me.
