Last month, Country music star Brantley Gilbert went on a motorcycle ride with a group of US Military veterans, called Project Odyssey. The whole reason for this ride was to raise awareness to at least the Country music fan base, about various issues that those involved in the US Military struggle with every day.
This musician could not have imagined any higher honor in which he received during his trip.
You can tell that he did not feel deserving of the gift, but was not about to offend a US veteran and not receive it with open arms.
The video captures Gilbert's surprise and gratitude. You can feel the goosebumps on his skin when you witness the award exchange. Brantley did not know how to stop thanking the brave soldier for all that he has done and for the honor and weight of this gift.
The moment was very heavy.
