Country Music may be about love, heartache, stories about lessons but it is also an appreciation about our Country and what we stand up for as Americans.

Widow Taya Kyle who has three young children was lost for words when so many people started to give her deceased husband Navy Seal Chris Kyle a standing ovation at the Country Music Awards for what he has done for our Country.

Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks and many other stars applauded and said thank you on Live Television for the thousands of men and women who risk their lives for us everyday.

After introducing Garth Brooks at the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 19, Taya Kyle says she and her children were overwhelmed by the warmth they were shown from the industry's biggest stars.

“Blake Shelton took a moment to take pictures with the kids and said, ‘Thanks for coming sweetheart. We really appreciate it,' ” Kyle tells PEOPLE.

“Luke Bryan was like, ‘Let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you,' ” she says.

Kyle introduced Brooks as part of a salute to the military, saying, “I'm extremely grateful to all the first responders, veterans and their families for all their sacrifices. I hope their example will continue to inspire a culture of service in hometowns across this country.”

Kyle, 40, lost her husband, Navy SEAL Chris Kyle – the real life hero behind the blockbuster movie, American Sniper – when he and his friend, Chad Littlefield, were shot and killed on Feb. 2, 2013, on a Texas gun range.

Whether it's in a public setting or a private setting, they need to know they are supported and that the country is behind those who served and are serving.”

The loss of a parental figure can be hard. Hopefully Kyle's children will be able to grow up strong just like their father.
