Thank goodness, Garth Brooks is back! Hopefully for good this time. Many people scrutinized him for taking a 14 year hiatus from making music. Quite frankly I am not sure how anyone could shame a person for taking time off to raise his family. Yes, being a music superstar is a blessed life in many ways. However they certainly pay the price when it comes to their families. Fame does not come without a price. Could you imagine missing all of your children's accomplishments and events? Well Garth couldn't either, so he did something about it!
Granted over the years Garth has teased us by coming out of retirement for the occasional show. I was lucky enough to attend the performance he held for the firefighters and fire victims at the Staples Center in 2008. It was truly a very touching performance. He saw a need and knew that he could bring attention and provide some relief for a great cause!
