I recently ran across an article from a few years back that really got me thinking about that age old question, where are they now? The article (scroll through for more info) was centered around Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of Pop Mega Star Britney Spears, and her transition into a hopeful career in the Country Music industry.
Much like her sister, there is no doubt Jamie Lynn has talent, and lots of it. Which ultimately leaves me wondering, what happened? As you'll see on the next page, it finally seemed like Jamie Lynn had found a place outside of her sisters spotlight. In an musical genre that she could make all her own. And furthermore, she seemed like she was genuinely excited about using the art of country music storytelling in her new music.
I suppose you'll have to take a look for yourself, and draw your own conclusions. As for me, I have to wonder how such a potential powerhouse is not dominating the billboards, and selling tons of records. After all, she is a “Spears”.
