Luke Bryan being the smart businessman/musician he is figured that since “Kill The Lights” was so incredibly successful that he should make a new album and do a spin-off on his previous work.

The country superstar revealed the big news during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (May 19). Kill the Lights is set for release on Friday, Aug. 7. Bryan also performed the project’s lead single, “Kick the Dust Up,” which arrived at country radio Tuesday and is available now at digital retailers. He is scheduled to perform the song on the season finale of The Voice Tuesday evening.

Kill the Lights is the follow up to 2013′s Crash My Party, which has been Bryan’s most successful album to date. The album has placed six consecutive No. 1 singles, been certified double platinum and sold more than two million copies, along with eight million digital downloads overall.
