There is a new trend in music today! In the past, in order to break through in this incredibly competitive industry you had to have a record label backing you. Essentially artists are selling themselves and their music to record label. The record label would foot the bill for all associated costs involved in getting this artist on the map. Times are changing, and it is for the best! Kickstarter is a new way for artist's to fund their own venture and remain in control of their music the entire way through. If you have extreme talent and a decent size fan base you can “make” yourself!
A recent success story is up and coming artist Steve Grand. This young man has been climbing the charts and dominating the internet and the industry! He has done this with the help of Kickstarter. His new song and video, “All-American Boy” is stealing fan's hearts all over the world. It is amazing what a lot of hard work and a strong fan base can do for you!
