Carrie is the face of American Idol in my mind. One of the first huge success stories from the hit TV show. Carrie made her debut on American Idol in 2005. She has been on a record breaking ride releasing chart topping hits time after time. She grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma and was born on March, 10 1983. She is a simple country gal who has stood strong to her morals and upbringing despite her instant fame!

Kellie Pickler

Another adorable blonde bombshell from American Idol. Believe it or not she was not a winner for her season, she was 6th place on the 5th season of American Idol. She has such amazing talent that she steamed rolled straight to the top, despite the show results. Kellie had a very rough up bringing, with a mother that abandoned her and floated in and out of her life. She is proof that no matter what your circumstances are you can overcome them! She was born on June 28, 1986 in  Albemarle, North Carolina. My hats off to this outgoing gal!

Scotty McCreery

Scotty was the winner of season 10 on American Idol. This young man was turning heads from his first audition. He has such a incredibly powerful voice and a old country sound. Scotty is a big family man and a man of faith. He was born on October 9,1993 in  Raleigh, North Carolina. This young man is just getting started and I feel it is safe to say he will be in the industry for years to come!

Lauren Alaina

Lauren was the second place winner in the neck to neck battle with Scotty! She is a firecracker with a voice of a angel. This girl has been moving right up the charts despite not having signed with a major label yet. She was born November 8,1994 in  Rossville, Georgia. She is a very devoted Christian. I think that we will soon see more from this inspirational girl!

What a talented group of people! Can you imagine where they would be today had they not been discovered by American Idol? I think it is a awesome thing for our young people today. The chances of them becoming famous artists are slim, but they get the chance to have a little faith. With hard work and dedication ANYTHING is possible. The key words being work and dedication. Many kids today think they are owed everything for simply being them, think again kids, if you want to make something of yourself you got to put some work into it!
