  • Eli Young Band Member Jon Jones Just Welcomed Another Addition to His Growing Family!

The couple had the birth all planned out, right down to creating a special mix just for the baby.  The playlist included Little Big Town’s “Silver and Gold,” Dixie Chicks’ “Landslide,” the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows,” Norah Jones’ “Come Away With Me” and the Beatles‘ “Something.”

“There were lot of the songs that meant something to us,” Jones said Friday to CMT.com. “‘Something’ was our wedding song. It’s not the best song to dance to as far as your first dance at a wedding, but it’s a wonderful song. And then there was some music that symbolizes our relationship because we’ve been together since college.”

“At the end of the day,” he added, “you’re grateful to have a healthy child and a healthy mother. My job was just to be the support system — supporting Sarah’s choice in doing a natural birth, helping her as much as I can and realizing that I’m not doing any of the heavy lifting.”

Jones also noted that being second-time parents made the process a lot easier:

“This time we were a lot more calm through it all,” Jones said. “Sarah was a bit more prepared this time going in, which was important. Having a baby is a scary thing. But more than anything it was just this perfect moment when she came into the world.”

Congrats to the proud couple! We're glad to hear that both mother and baby are well, and we can't wait to see this little one grow up. She's a lucky girl and Jones and his wife are very lucky parents!
