  • Garth Brooks Surprises Fan in a Way No One Saw Coming

For me, Garth Brooks represents the sounds of my childhood. Hot summer days playing on five plus acres of property, running around in the grassy fields as my dad worked in a warehouse-like building as country music filled the air. Those days were about as carefree as I remember and the voice that stands out from them all is Garth Brooks.

While over the course of his long career he has seen many ups and downs I can say that he is not one to stay down for long and when he returns his fans are always there, always faithful waiting in the wings.  This is exactly where we will find 24-year-old Jeremy Larson.

Much like myself, Jeremy grew up listening to Brooks with his father although aside from loving the hits his favorite song out of the entire catalog is a song many may not know called “Which One of Them.” A song that Brooks wrote over 30 years ago, long before Jeremey was even born. Yet Larsen knows every word…to every song that Brooks sings which puts him on the level of the super fan.

With Brooks currently on tour, Larsen has followed his weekend shows and it was the show in Billings Montana that changed everything. Larsen, an aspiring musician enjoyed a lively set on Friday and was able to and was able to gain entrance on Saturday to a smaller post-encore acoustic jam with the artist. IT was here that Larsen held up a sign showing Brooks his level of fandom as it was a picture of him playing the same brand of guitar that Brooks is known for playing and what the singer did next had everyone in the room jealous and had Larsen in tears.

“Oh no no, that’s not one of these,” Brooks says in a video Larson shared on Facebook. “That’s a Takamine but it’s not one of these. Dude, if you’re gonna play guitar …”
“You can hear me squeal like a kid,” Larson tells Taste of Country. “I can’t describe the emotions.”

When Larsen talked to the singer’s crew they admitted it was the most magical things they’d seen on the three-year-long world tour. Just watch it unfold below and you can see why.

It's moments like this that keep us loyal to a man who lives his passion and cares about people. That is why Garth Brooks is here to stay.
