Talk about a blast from the past! Tanya Tucker, a name that is known in country music circles since the 80's has once again released a new song for the first time in quite awhile.
While we would love to say that the reasons are cheerful or that her muse was something that was a happy occurrence her newest song “Forever Loving You” is to honor Glenn Campbell who passed away earlier this month.
For those that are unaware Tucker and Campbell shared an ongoing relationship in the early 80's that was full of its own ups and downs.
“It’s been so hard these past several years knowing what he’s been going through. My heart just breaks,” Tucker says, references Campbell’s life with Alzheimer’s disease. “Glen and I shared some incredible, precious memories together for a long time. There were some ups and downs, and, of course, all the downs were played out in the press. We both got past all that. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing …
IT is true that Campbell left a hole in country music that may never be filled but those that loved him will not allow his memory to fade and for that we are thankful.
